Press Release 1: Dual Breakthroughs in Micro LED and COB Technologies – Multiple Enterprises Launch New LED Display Products
02/12/2025

From November to December 2025, the LED display industry has witnessed a period of technological breakthroughs. The accelerated commercialization of Micro LED and the iteration of COB technology have become core highlights. Leading enterprises such as Tianma Group, TCL Huaxing, and Rayman Optoelectronics have intensively launched heavyweight new products, driving the industry into a new era of high image quality and low power consumption.
On November 18, Tianma Group took the lead in launching the world's first 108-inch 4K Micro LED display adopting full-laser mass transfer technology. With a peak brightness of 1500 nits and a contrast ratio of 1 million:1, the display features a seamless splicing width of less than 20 μm. Leveraging its advantages of ultra-high definition and high stability, it can be widely applied in high-end home theaters and commercial display scenarios. A technical director of Tianma stated, "The full-laser mass transfer technology has solved the yield bottleneck in the mass production of Micro LED, and this new product will accelerate the popularization of the high-end display market."
In the same period, TCL Huaxing achieved another breakthrough in the Micro LED field by releasing the world's highest-resolution monolithic full-color silicon-based Micro LED product. With a size of 0.28 inches, it realizes a resolution of 1280×720 and a pixel density of 5131 PPI, almost eliminating the sense of pixels visually and providing a new option for precision scenarios such as AR/VR devices and medical displays. In terms of COB technology, TCL Huaxing's P1.2 COB display production line in Suzhou was put into mass production in November, marking the official entry of panel giants into the LED display track.
Focusing on the needs of the commercial market, Rayman Optoelectronics launched the "HD King Cool Screen Master" QS0.9 fine-pitch COB product on November 11. Equipped with an independently developed AI low-power cool screen system, the product saves 50% more energy than traditional products and reduces the screen operating temperature by more than 15℃. It has received a large order of 12,000 square meters and will serve as a core display device for the 2026 Milan Winter Olympics.
Industry analysis agency TrendForce pointed out that the commercialization process of Micro LED and COB technologies has accelerated significantly in 2025, which is expected to drive the global LED display market scale to exceed 7.5 billion US dollars. Chinese enterprises account for 63% of the patents in core technical fields, becoming the leading force in technological innovation.
