Press Release 3: LED Displays Empower Major Scenarios – Milan Winter Olympics and Virtual Production Bases Attract Attention

From international sports events to the innovation of film and television production, LED display technology is empowering diverse scenarios with its advantages of high image quality and high stability. From November to December 2025, LED products of enterprises such as Rayman Optoelectronics and Unilumin Technology have been successively applied in major projects such as the Milan Winter Olympics and Sichuan Virtual Production Base, demonstrating the global competitiveness of China's display technology.
As the official display equipment supplier for the 2026 Milan Winter Olympics, Rayman Optoelectronics has completed the delivery of core display equipment, including a 275-inch 8K Micro LED large screen, which will be used for event live broadcasting, referee decisions and global media broadcasting. Adopting anti-glare and high refresh rate technologies, the large screen can adapt to the complex outdoor and indoor display environments of the Winter Olympics, ensuring stable operation under extreme temperatures. Prior to this, ROE Visual had provided 750 square meters of LED walls and 200 square meters of LED floor tiles for the Eurovision Song Contest, creating an immersive stage effect.
Domestically, Sichuan's first LED virtual production base was officially put into use in November, with core technical support provided by Unilumin Technology. Equipped with P0.9 fine-pitch LED displays, the base features a high refresh rate of 3840 Hz and a wide color gamut of NTSC 110%, enabling real-time synthesis of virtual scenes and real-person shooting, which greatly reduces the cost of film and television production. It is understood that such virtual production bases have become a new highlight in the film and television industry, and Hollywood's procurement volume of high-spec LED virtual shooting equipment has increased by 67% year-on-year.
In addition, the application of LED displays in cultural and people's livelihood fields continues to deepen. In Fuzhou, Jiangxi, a large domestic CINITY LED cinema hall was officially opened, equipped with a 23m×12m super large sound-transparent screen, providing audiences with an immersive viewing experience. In preparation for the 5th National Games, Chinese LED enterprises have provided display equipment support for 19 cities in the three competition areas of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, covering key scenarios such as competition venues and press centers.
The director of markting at Unilumin Technology said, "The application boundary of LED displays is constantly expanding, from high-end commercial use to mass consumption, and from fixed scenarios to mobile terminals. The combination of technological innovation and scenario demand will be the core driving force for the industry's growth."
